A country garden near Maidstone in Kent. Originally a Kentish Cobnut farm, redesigned and maintained over a number of years by the present owners and divided into distinct separate garden areas wrapping around the house. The main garden is dominated in early spring by a superb specimen ornamental cherry, Prunus ’Tai Haku’ together with Yew, Buxus and Lavender topiary and borders containing mixed shrubs, perennials and many spring bulbs. Other areas of the garden include a walled garden with wide borders, a canal and fountain. A sunken contemporary box parterre with modern sculpture. An area of specimen trees. Lines of triffid like hard pruned Kent cobnuts within the garden and a separate meadow with Kent cobnuts and many trees underplanted with Narcissus poeticus and other spring bulbs.
