With views looking out over the English Channel, Walmer Castle was built under the instruction of Henry VIII. One of England’s finest Tudor artillery forts. The castle is the residence of the Lords Warden of the Cinque Ports, held by famous figures from the Duke of Wellington to Sir Winston Churchill.
The gardens include the Broadwalk with the doubly impressive cloud topiary yew hedges and herbaceous borders, the formal contemporary garden created in honour of the Queen Mother, the kitchen garden and woodland walk.
