Painshill Park in Surrey. Created by the Hon. Charles Hamilton, a painter, plantsman and landscape designer between 1738 and 1773. Influenced by Renaissance art and his memories of the grand tours throughout Europe. Today the scenic vistas and follies are given a magical touch by frost and ice in winter.
