A three acre walled country garden photographed in February, late winter on a frosty morning. Divided into four areas. A rectangular lawn near the house with herbaceous borders either side. An upper lawn area with a small pond leading to the vegetable garden. A beautiful apple orchard with old knarled apple trees underplanted by Crocus tommasinianus and other spring bulbs. And a wild garden containing carpets of snowdrops, Ribes sanguinium ‘Elkington’s White’ which was discovered in this garden, a lovely tree house and a great borrowed view overlooking surrounding countryside.
